Happy 2025! This year marks the 25th anniversary of me being a published author. The years have flown by so fast! I’m heading into some big life changes this year. Mainly, my hubby of 40 years is finally going to retire. We have lived in Los Angeles for twenty years, and we’re moving somewhere smaller, quieter, and slower.

I’m cleaning out my office and emptying bookshelves. Along the way, I found some fun print copies of old books that I thought some of you might love to have. I’m going to run three 1-week contests, where I will give away three different titles.

The first contest runs this week, and I am giving away two autographed print copies of my very first historical romance that was titled THE WAY OF THE HEART. It was published in 1999, and when I look at it 25 years and 70 novels later, it almost seems like an ancient relic! When I wrote it, I was a very new and very inexperienced novelist, and I had no clue what I was doing or how my career would unfold. It’s fun to read the book now and see how much my writing has changed (and improved!) over the years. The second contest will run next week, and I will give away an autographed print copy of my book, TOTAL SURRENDER, which was published in 2002. For the first few years of my career, I wrote 13 erotic historical romances, and they are the novels that really established me in the romance genre. I started writing erotics just as the erotic trend was new, shocking, and different, and readers were agog. TOTAL SURRENDER won a national award as ‘Best Erotic Novel of 2002’, but considering how graphic and naughty the erotic market has grown to be over the past 20 years, it seems very tame in comparison. It’s fun to see where the erotic trend got started.

I will send out another flyer next week to let everyone know when the TOTAL SURRENDER contest is open so all of you can enter. But once open, it will only run for a week.

Finally, in week 3, I am running a contest to give away two very rare copies of a contemporary romance I wrote back in 2000. Its title is MOUNTAIN DREAMS. At the time it was published, I had already been dropped by my first publisher, so when the book was released, the company only printed a few hundred copies. By then, my signature novel, LOVE LESSONS, had been released, and readers were desperately clambering for copies of MOUNTAIN DREAMS, but there simply weren’t any out on the market. Some of them were selling for hundreds of dollars. I have two rare copies and I will give them away to two lucky winners.

Again, I will send another email in two weeks to let you know when the MOUNTAIN DREAMS contest is running. And it will be a one-week contest, so don’t delay entering.
